PALS

Yuma encourages young women to "give back" to the D.C. community and collaborates with the PALS program in this effort.

High school and college women make time to tutor and mentor inner-city middle and high school girls every Saturday from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

Contact: Michele Wittig at www.helpingkids.org. Applications available online.  Orientation and training courses for PALS volunteers take place at Yuma before the summer and fall sessions.
