New to 2019: The Senior Seminar Series
Yuma aims to serve as a lifelong resource for women of all ages. Every other month, on the second Friday of the month, Yuma Center will host the Senior Seminar Series! This Series, launched in January 2019, focuses on the personal, professional, and spiritual growth of older women.

January 11 - It’s Never Too Late to Begin

A motivational talk describing your new workplace in the world as a senior. Taking small steps or giant leaps, you will find joy and fulfillment in life at this new stage of your life’s journey.
March 8 - Your Home
with Donna Searby
We all want to live in bright and cheerful homes. Creating orderly, clutter-free spaces helps to nurture a happy and healthy home and gives you more time to enjoy family and friends!
May 10 - The Outer You
with Lourdes Arguello
Fashion and image consultant Lourdes Arguello will lead us in a discussion about dressing as a reflection of our true femininity and personalities, no matter what our age. If dressing is a language, how are you speaking to others to communicate the many aspects of your personality? This fun and informative seminar will help us to see how to better reflect who we are in the way we present ourselves to the world.
July 19 - The Creative You.
The fine arts play an important role in life for people of all ages. Expressing yourself in art, music, crafts, nature, or perhaps rediscovering your latent talents can be a source of serenity and peace right now.
September 13 - The Relational You.
How do our relationships with family, friends, neighbors change as we age? You will hear inspiring ideas for deepening friendships or diversifying relationships with those we love.
November 8- A Lifetime of Memories.
Memories serve an important function in our lives. You will enjoy learning practical tips and meaningful ways to preserve and share your family history & memories with family or friends in this pre-holiday seminar.
