Yuma’s benefit propels the work we do all year long to inspire women and impact generations. Meet the Honoree, Brenda Royden

Brenda was the Chair for Yuma’s first Work & Life Conference (now called “Integrate Work”) and served on the Board of Directors for the Yuma Center from 2016-2023 and a rotation as president of the board in 2021. She is the Coordinator for the Yuma program “Women 60 and Beyond” which she began in 2018 in order to reach the spiritual, professional, and personal needs of women in that age group.

Brenda served on the Board of Directors for the Foundation for Women’s Advancement from 2008 to 2015.

In 2019, Brenda started AudioTorches, LLC, a professional audiobook recording company with a focus on spiritual reading books. She holds a master’s degree in communications from Bangkok University and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from Mary Baldwin College.

Brenda is married to Barry Royden and they have six adult children and four grandchildren. Brenda lived many years abroad while supporting Barry’s foreign service career and raising their children. She retired from her work as a federal government contractor in 2013 on the same day as her husband. She and Barry continue to pursue their love of travel and exploring new cultures when she’s not in her studio recording beautiful audiobooks.
